What to Expect

At Atlas Family Chiropractic, our ultimate goal is to provide lasting pain relief for all who seek our care. We know and understand that seeking health care can be confusing and expensive. We’re here to help. We have developed a three visit model to educate and assist with any concerns about treatment and what to expect.

First Visit - Dr. Nygaard will perform his initial intake exam to gather details about any pain or discomfort you've experienced. The doctor will then take x-rays to get the correct listings to prepare for the first atlas adjustment, given on the second visit. This first visit takes approximately 30 minutes.

Second Visit - Dr. Nygaard will give his report of findings based on the x-rays taken on the first visit. The doctor then makes the first atlas adjustment. As a welcome gift, the patient will also receive a personalized care binder, with great information about our path to wellness and good spinal care tips. This second visit takes approximately 30 minutes.

Third Visit - Dr. Nygaard will check to see if the atlas adjustment made on the second visit held. It is not unusual for the adjustment not to hold initially. When the atlas bone has been trained for years to stay in the same place, it’s no surprise that occasionally it can be a bit “stubborn” about it being adjusted. After the visit with the doctor, the patient meets with the office manager to discuss the treatment plan recommended. Atlas Family Chiropractic is unique because we provide options. Our goal is to see every patient improve and feel better; so we do our very best to make it affordable on any budget. This third visit takes approximately 30 minutes.
